Antoinette Martinelli Lynch, 85, of Moosic, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Monday evening at the home of her daughter, Colleen, who was her devoted caregiver. Her beloved husband was the late Walter J. Sr., who passed into eternal life on Nov. 22, 2021. Together, Walter and Antoinette shared 63 beautiful years of marriage.
Born in Dunmore, she was the daughter of the late John and Antoinette Maffucci Martinelli and was a graduate of Dunmore High School, class of 1955. A devote Catholic, Antionette was a parishioner of Divine Mercy Parish. Antoinette had many enjoyments in life, most especially being with her friends in the Greenwood Card Club and going to the casino. Above all, her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her children, grandchildren and extended family.
She is survived by two sons, Brian and his wife, Marisa, Chester Springs; and Walter and his wife, Bridgette, Philadelphia; and a daughter, Colleen Rossi and her husband, Joseph, Archbald. She was blessed with 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by an infant son; and sister, Marie Malowany; and four brothers, James J., Joseph, Vittorio and John J.
Family and friends are invited to attend Antoinette's funeral, which will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday at the Semian Funeral Home LLC, 704 Union St., Taylor, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m. in Divine Mercy Parish, 312 Davis St., Scranton, by the Rev. Francis L. Pauselli. Interment will follow at St. Mary of Czestochowa Cemetery, Moosic.
