Carol “Babe” Pettinato, 84, Greenwood Section of Moosic, entered eternal rest
with her loving family by her side on Thursday in Geisinger Wyoming Valley
Medical Center. Her loving husband Carl J. Pettinato, Jr. passed on May 2, 2012.
Born August 2, 1936 in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Rose
Mastrianni Marino. Carol was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School. She
was a longtime member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Mary of the Assumption
Church, Old Forge. Carol was a loving, devoted wife, mother and nurturing Mama
to her grandchildren Emily and Charlie, who were the center of her world. She
enjoyed every moment of life, loved traveling and socializing with her many

She was preceded in death by her brothers Carl, Francis, Anthony and John Marino
and sister Mary Kosko.
Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing Monday from 9:00 to 11:15
a.m. at the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St. Taylor, followed by Mass of
Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. in Prince of Peace Parish, 123 Grace St. Old Forge,
celebrated by Rev. August Ricciardi, Pastor. Burial will follow in Cathedral
