Genevieve, affectionately known as Jenny, entered into eternal rest on Sunday. Her beloved husband, Stephen passed away April 24, 2004.
Born in Old Forge, she was the daughter of the late Adam Zuro and Helen Witkowski Doohaluk Zuro and was a graduate of Old Forge High School class of 1951. Throughout the years, Jenny worked as a seamstress at Books Manufacturing, Old Forge and later was a waitress at Aldino's Restaurant, Taylor, which was known for their excellent cuisine and retired from the Woodlands Inn and Resort, Wilkes-Barre. A faithful Catholic, Jenny was a longtime member of the former Immaculate Conception Church, Taylor. Following the consolidation of her church, she became a member of Divine Mercy Parish. She was also a member of the Taylor Senior Citizens.
Surviving is a son, Richard, and his wife, Angel, Brentwood, California; a sister, Mary Ann Krenitsky and husband, Michael, Taylor; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Christiano.
Family and friends are invited to attend Jenny's Mass of Christian Burial, which will be on Friday at 11:00 am in Divine Mercy Parish, 312 Davis St. Scranton, by the Rev. Francis L. Pauselli. Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Old Forge. Friends may call Friday from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the church.
