Jerome J. Lehman, 71, of Milford, formerly of Mountaintop, entered into eternal rest on Sunday at his home, with his beloved wife, Jayne Bendowski Lehman, by his side. Jayne and Jerome were married for 49 years.
Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Stanley and Elizabeth Kalasky Lehman and was a 1967 graduate of Abington Heights High School. Jerome received his bachelor's degree from Penn Sate University and his master's in environmental science at East Stroudsburg University. For many years, Jerome was a parishioner of St. Jude's Church, Mountaintop. Jerome retired from the Environmental Protection Agency, where he was a manager. In his spare time, he enjoyed hiking, skiing and fixing old cars. He will be dearly missed by his family, especially his grandsons, they loved their pop pop.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children; a son Matthew C. and his wife, Katie, Bedford Hills, NY; a daughter, Kelly Goswamy and her husband, Amul, Scotts Valley, Ca; three adoring grandsons, John Francis, Brodick and Nash; three brothers, Stanley and his wife, Anna Mae, Clarks Summit; Joseph, New Holland and Dennis, Clarks Summit; nieces and nephews.
A private blessing was held in the Semian Funeral Home LLC, 704 Union St. Taylor, by the Rev. August A. Ricciardi. Interment was in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Old Forge.
