Joseph Kuzmich, 80, of Taylor, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 8, 2021 at Moses Taylor Hospital, He is survived by his beloved wife, Rosemary Bliss Kuzmich,

Born in Taylor, he was the son of the late John and Mary Brazilla Kuzmich and was 1958 graduate of Old Forge High School and furthered his education at Penn State University. He proudly served our country with the United States Army, where he was a military police officer. In the 1960's he was an Old Forge policeman and retired from the United States Postal Service. He was a lifelong parishioner of St. Michael's Orthodox Church, Old Forge. Joe loved listening to music, gardening and going for his daily walk at McDade Park, always stopping at the pond to enjoy nature. For those who knew him, he was easy going, kind, generous and loving. Joe loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed going to see his granddaughter Katelyn, run cross country. He was a Penn State and Pittsburg Steelers fan.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters; Lori Kowalczyk (John) and Rose McCarthy and companion, Mike Smith; four grandchildren, Katelyn Kowalczyk, Erica Fahnestock (Frank), David Butrim (Christina), and Andy Hawkins and companion, Jenn Aspinall; four great grandchildren; Caden, Ayla, Wyatt and Mason; a niece, Teri Robinson(Jay), a nephew, Michael Rice (Collen); a sister-in-law, Barbara Rice and a brother-in-law, Tracy Rice.

He was preceded in death by a brother, John and a sister-in-law Beverly.

The Kuzmich family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Drs. Mark Lyons and Nicholas Dodge, and the staff of Moses Taylor Hospital for their care and support given to Joe.

A private funeral service will be held in St. Michael's Orthodox Church, 512 Sumner St, Old Forge by the Rev. Peter Henry, rector. Interment with military honors will be in the parish cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Joes' honor to his church.

Grandpa, I will forever remember our walks threw McDade park, and all the tours of the coal mine you used to take me on. You are and will always be the kindest, most loving person I've ever known. All of the advice you have given me over the years! Especially to save my money..
You are going to be truly missed by my children my wife and I, and everyone. We are all blessed to have had you in our lives.. I love you and will miss you with all of my heart
