Lucille “Lucy” Coyne Sposto, 59, of Scranton passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 14. She was the fiancé of Wayne Barber.
Born in Scranton, on October 9, 1961, to Maria and Thomas Coyne, and she was raised by the late Bridget and Charles Rodgers. In 1980, Lucy graduated from Bishop Hannon High and furthered her education at Lackawanna College. Throughout her life, she worked as medical secretary, but mainly was a homemaker. Lucy was a caring and giving person, which continued even after her passing through the Gift of Life Donor Program.
Also surviving are her two daughters, Mia and Natalia Sposto; sister, Kathleen Grushinski, her husband, Tony; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Kyle Marshalek and sister, Mary Lou Grushinski.
Family and friends are invited to attend Lucy’s services, which will be held Thursday, January 21st at 11am at Saints Francis and Clare Progressive Catholic Church, 98 Larch St. Scranton, by Reverend William Mentz.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the direction and care of the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union Street Taylor, Pa.
