Mark Summa

August 4, 1968 ~ January 23, 2022 (age 53)


Mark Summa, 53, of Old Forge, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 23.

Born on August 4, 1968, in Scranton, he is the son of Mary McGraw Summa, Old Forge and the late Donato J. Summa. Mark was a graduate of Old Forge High School, class of 1988. All of his life, Mark was a carpenter and was presently employed by Azek, Inc. For several years, he worked at Four Daughters Architectural Woodworking, Inc. Mark was a very talented light technician, and he designed many sets at Rock Street Music, Pittston. Throughout his life, he enjoyed the outdoors, music and was a Grateful Dead enthusiast.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Jennifer Summa and companion, Kevin Smith, Old Forge; Danielle Summa and companion, Chris Wilcox, Lake Ariel; a brother, James Summa and companion, Nicole Revesz, Old Forge; three nephews, Philip Vahey Jr. and wife, Emily and Brandon Vahey and Hunter Smith; two brothers, Anthony and Kurtis Summa, both of Shickshinney; Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death paternal grandparents, Mark and Mary Hynick Summa, maternal grandparents James and Elsie McGraw and an infant sister Melanie.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial gathering on Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at The Semian funeral Home, LLC, 704 Union St. Taylor. Interment will be private in ST. John the Baptist Cemetery, Taylor.
