Mary Ann Chyhur, 66, of Taylor, entered eternal rest Thursday at Windsor House Health Care Center, Marienville, PA.
Born June 3, 1954 in Scranton, she was the only daughter of the late Michael and Mary Elizabeth Kristoff Chyhur. Mary Ann was a graduate of the West Scranton Central Catholic High School, class of 1972. After graduation, she worked at the Globe store in Scranton. A faithful Catholic, Mary Ann was a longtime member of the former St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Taylor, where she was a member of the altar and rosary society. Following the consolidation of her church, she became a member of Saint Ann’s Basilica Parish, West Scranton. Mary Ann enjoyed going to the casino and writing thoughtful cards to her family and friends.
Surviving is her loving Uncle, Albert Kristoff, Taylor, and many cousins.
A grave side service with Rite of Committal was held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 by Rev. Richard Burke, C.P. at Saint John’s Byzantine Cemetery, Minooka Section.
A memorial mass will be held at a later date and time.
