Michael "Mickey" Ruddy, 66, of Clarks Green, completed his journey on earth and passed peacefully surrounded by his loving children and wife of 40 years, Cherilynn Potosky.
He was a graduate of Dunmore High School and served in the United States Air Force and the Pennsylvania National Guard. Michael retired from the United States Postal Service, where he worked for 37 years. He was proud of his three children, Colleen; Michael and his wife, Rebecca; and Ryan and his wife, Betsy, and how they persevered to be hard working, loving and accomplished individuals.
Michael loved giving advise to his family and enjoyed listening to his political shows. Nothing made him happier to be "Grandpa" to his five grandchildren, Nolan, Dominic, Tyler, Maya and Jordan.
He was one of 12 children born to the late James and Rose O'Hara Ruddy and is survived by four brothers, James, Eugene, Tim and Robert; and sisters, Cathy Evans, Mary Lynn Ruddy, Ellen Smolskis, Beth Navoczynski and Roseann Ruddy.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Mark, William and Patrick.
Family and friends are invited to attend Michael's funeral which will begin on Friday at 9:15 a.m. from the Semian Funeral Home LLC, 704 Union St., Taylor, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Church of St. Gregory, 330 N. Abington Road, Clarks Summit, by the Rev. John M. Lapera. Interment will follow in St. Mary Czestochowa Cemetery, Moosic.
Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
