Raymond L.. Gordon, 89, of Old Forge, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 27 at the Forest City Nursing Center. His beloved wife of 53 years, the former Lorraine "Eleanor" Krempasky Gordon, passed away, January 30, 2010.
Born on March 15, 1932, in Lewisburg, he was the son of the late Raymond and Isabel Moser Gordon. A proud veteran, Ray served our country with the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He attained the rank of airmen 2nd class and was decorated with the Korean Service Medal with 3 bronze stars, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Prior to his retirement , Ray worked for Tobyhanna Army Depot, where he was a computer specialist. He was a parishioner of St. Nicholas of Myra Byzantine Catholic Church, Old Forge.
Surviving is a daughter, Debra Sica and husband, David; two grandsons, Christopher Sica and wife, Jessie, and David Sica; a great grandson, Christopher Sica Jr.
A private blessing service was held on Friday, December 3, in the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St. Taylor, by the Reverend Thomas Sica, Open Door Bible Church. Interment St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Old Forge.
