Raymond Paul Makusiewicz, age 62, of Wallingford, CT passed away April 5, 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was surrounded by loved ones who will continue to honor his legacy by living their lives to the fullest.
He was born February 26, 1959 in Scranton, PA; the son of Ray and Lorraine (Havrilko) Makusiewicz. As a child and young adult, he lived in Newton, NJ with his two brothers, David and Kevin. He was a graduate of Newton High School’s Class of 1977. Following graduation he met his wife of 36 years, Cheri (Crisman) and attended Indiana University of PA together where he earned a degree in Business Marketing. Ray and Cheri were married May 5, 1984 and moved to Central CT for a job opportunity in 1990. They have lived in their current home located in Wallingford since 1993. There they raised their son, Ray Jr and was involved in many school and community functions.
He was proceeded in death by his brothers, David and Kevin.
Ray will lovingly be remembered by his wife, Cheri and son, Ray Jr. Ray will also be sadly missed by his parents, Ray and Lorraine and numerous extended family and friends.
A funeral mass is scheduled for 10 am on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Most Holy Trinity Church in Wallingford, CT for his immediate family and friends. On June 12th, he will have a funeral mass in remembrance at St. Therese’s Church Shavertown, PA 10 am and his cremated remains will be laid to rest next to his brothers, David and Kevin in the family plot located at Calvary Cemetery in Drums, PA.
Ray is remembered by his family and friends for his smile, love of basketball, sense of humor, compassion, and spiritualism. May His Soul Rest In Peace and May the Perpetual Light Shine Upon Him.
