January 17, 1932 ~ March 3, 2021 (age 89)

Ruth Elizabeth "Betty" Jones, 89, passed away peacefully on Wednesday.

Jones and is survived by her sister, Alice Owens; a daughter, Deborah Suprick and her husband, Michael Jr.; a son, Wesley Jones and his wife, Sherry; her beloved grandchildren, Michael Suprick and his life partner, Ricci Larue; Elizabeth White and her husband, Christopher; Heather DeNinno and her husband, Jason; Wesley Jones and his wife, Michelle; and Hayley Jones; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Betty was preceded in death by her sisters, Florence Morris and Dorothy Lewis; and her brothers, William and Fred Morris.
Betty's faith was the rock on which she leaned. She was a member of the Northmoreland Baptist Church and was a devoted Christian. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, and a blessing to anyone who knew her. Her love for others and the Lord was motivating and inspirational to others. She grew up in a household of cooking and baking and carried on the tradition to her own family. The aroma of fresh baked goods frequently filled her kitchen. She took up the love of knitting and provided many with dish towels, booties, stockings and so much more. She was an avid gardener and preserver and gave much of her harvest away. Her hands have made much and provided for many. She gave all she had to anyone who needed it.
A private funeral will be held from the Semian Funeral Home LLC, 704 Union St., Taylor, followed by interment in Fairview Memorial Park, Elmhurst.
Memorial contribution may be made to Northmoreland Baptist Church, 21 Ripplebrook Road, Tunkhannock, PA 18657.
