Obituary
Stella L. Howe Stevens of Taylor, passed into eternal life on Easter Sunday at Scranton Health Care. She is survived by her devoted husband, Donald, and together they have celebrated 72 beautiful years of marriage.
Born and educated in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Fred and Jenny Benzeleski Howe. Stella was a parishioner of St. Ann's Basilica. Throughout her life, Stella worked in the garment industry and retired from Glasco Dress Factory. She was an excellent baker and cook and had many enjoyments in life, especially playing bingo and bowling. Above all, the greatest enjoyment in her life was being a grandmother and spending time with her family, and she truly treasured every moment she shared with her loved ones.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Marsha Sledzinski and husband, Victor, Ledgedale; and Cathy Widdick and husband, Mark, Old Forge; a son, Jeff, Clarks Summit; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Thomas.

Family and friends are invited to attends Stella's viewing, which will be held on Wednesday, April 7, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at St. Ann's Basilica, 1250 St. Ann's St., Scranton, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton.
