William P. Preslock Sr., 74, of Taylor, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at his home in Taylor.
Born November 10, 1946, in Taylor, where he spent most of his life, except for two years, when he lived in Texas. He was the son of the late Peter and Mary Krompack Preslock, who were life residents of Taylor. Bill was a graduate of Taylor-Moosic High School Class of 1964 and served our country with the Army reserves. He was a faithful parishioner of St. George's Orthodox Church, Taylor. Bill was in the automobile business, spanning over fifty years. He started in 1969 working for Scranton Dodge and continued his career, working for numerous dealerships in Lackawanna County. Most recently he owned and operated, Car-Man Auto in Old Forge. Throughout his career, Bill developed a vast knowledge of cars and developed many long-lasting friendships. His cars, his home, and his yard, was impeccable in every way. Bill enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. What he enjoyed most was a good camping trip, riding his motorcycle, indulging in good food and listening to music loudly. He was also a lover of all animals, especially dogs.
Surviving are four children; William P. Jr., Hughestown; Peter P. Preslock, Edwardsville; Eileen Preslock-Conigliaro, Taylor and Brittany Preslock, Old Forge; a grandson, Thomas; a cousin, Joe Geda, who was like a brother to him and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Dr. James Preslock, Houston, Texas
Family and friends are invited to attend Bill's funeral, which will take place on Saturday at 10:00 am at St. George's Orthodox Church, 743 S. Keyser Ave. in Taylor by the Very Rev. Mark Leasure. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Saturday at the church from 9 am until 10:00 am.
